Dear Family and Friends,
First, I hope this finds you healthy and well during these challenging and unprecedented times.
Please know that the primary focus for myself, and all the staff at Equinox Village, is the safety and well-being of our residents. On a daily basis my team is reassessing procedures and steps are being taken to keep everyone safe and prevent the spread of illness.
I’ve seen and learned many things in my four decades in healthcare. One urgent situation that comes immediately to mind is when Staph Infections became a health concern. We were inundated with information that changed daily. There was fear of the unknown. Extra caution was being taken to prevent healthcare staff and those most susceptible. It was a trying, challenging and high anxiety time, in some ways similar to what is happening today. Like today, we got through it, which I know we all will again. We will come out stronger and more knowledgeable, too, as we did then.
In the meantime, as things continue to evolve and change on a daily basis, we will continue staying abreast of the information released by the CDC, VT Department of Health and other important governing bodies. If you have questions regarding the steps we are taking or procedures in place, please do not hesitate to call me or the wellness coordinator, Kylee Ryan, at (802) 362-4061. If one of us is not available, leave a message and we’ll return your call as soon as possible.
We will continue to post information on our website and Facebook page. Please stay well!
