Jeanette is a wildlife artist whose work is inspired by nature, particularly the mountainous areas of New Hampshire and Vermont.  Growing up with family ties in both the White Mountains of New Hampshire and the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, she spent a great deal of time in the woods observing and drawing nature. It was during this formative period when she began developing her artistic skills. Her artwork of animals, birds and nature comes from a passion for and love of the natural world in which she grew up and extended to other wild places where she has lived and explored over the years.

She is a self-taught artist and specializes in detailed graphite drawings and illustrative watercolor paintings of animals, birds and nature, which reflect a distinct and original style.  Her meticulous attention to detail is one of the hallmarks of her artwork. She is drawn to create artwork of the wild creatures in our world so we will remember them. She wants her art to remind people of the importance of saving the natural places around us as well as the importance of being a part of them. People have revered nature for thousands of years and continuing in the ancient tradition of creating animal and bird artwork is her way of honoring our innate and spiritual connection with the natural world. She hopes her art will inspire people to stay connected to our wild spaces. In the same ways in which we are drawn to be in the nature around us, she hopes you will be drawn into the nature of her art.

Jeanette’s work hangs in private collections throughout New England and beyond. Her art has received numerous awards and been accepted in national exhibitions, including the “Art of The Animal Kingdom”, the Adirondacks National Exhibition of American Watercolors” and the “North East Watercolor Society International Exhibition”. She has also exhibited with the Society of Animal Artists and been a finalist in Animal/Wildlife category of The Artist’s Magazine’s annual competition.

She is a member of the Society of Animal Artists, the Pencil Art Society, American Watercolor Society and a Signature member of both the North East Watercolor Society and the Vermont Watercolor Society.
