Lynn D. Pratt

Lynn Pratt went to school at Wentworth Institute of Technology to become an architect. During her time in college, Pratt took various art classes, one of them being watercolors. Due to her heavy class load, she didn’t have any time to pursue watercolors further. After college, she started at a local Vermont firm, and then started her own practice after having children. As her children got a little older, Lynn got back into watercolor painting as a hobby and ended up falling in love with it all over again.
In 2013, Lynn switched gears and turned all of her time to painting and perfecting her craft. She is now a full time professional artist and a signature member in the Vermont Watercolor Society and the North East Watercolor Society. Pratt is featured in publications, taken part in many juried shows and has received numerous awards. She is currently being featured at the Fabriano Invitational International Convention in Fabriano, Italy.
Lynn “enjoys focusing on certain details and highlighting them, instead of focusing on the entire scene.” She wants to give viewers a different angle of the items that they see in their daily lives and may never really notice.
Lynn displays her work at local art shows and fairs, throughout the year, as well as international exhibits and galleries. Lynn teaches watercolor classes for children and adults at all levels and does many commissioned works of people and pet portraits.
